Cure' of Ars Religious Education Vacation Bible School June 2004
The Vacation Bible School of the Cure' of Ars Religious Education
Program attracted over 135 children of the parish from
June 14 through June 18, 2004. Each day began in the
rainbow colored parachute-draped Father Burak Room. There were
visits from biblical personalities portrayed by teacher
Holly Nelson, MooLaLa the clown dressed as a cow sharing
biblical stories and fun, Power Up! songs led by musician and teacher
Valerie Tankard, and pledges of allegiance to the American and Catholic flags,
as well as to the Bible. The week ended with a terrific program
featuring the talents of the children performing songs and
skits that showed off all that they learned during the week.
Many thanks to Cure' of Ars Director of Religious Education Sister
Julie Galan, Sisters of Saint Joseph of Concordia, for composing
a VBS that combined fun with learning, and to the teachers and their high school helpers
for bringing the Power Up! program to the students. Best
wishes to these students as they continue on their faith
journeys this summer and beyond. (Click on thumbnail to show full size photo).
