Trunk or Treat
Cure' of Ars Car Decorating Championship October 30, 2008

				The Cure' of Ars parish community came together on Thursday, October 30, 2008, to vie for the title of Grand Champion car or van trunk decorator. Many parishioners did their best to create a scary scenario for the many trick or treater denizens throughout the parish parking lot. Judging was performed by Dr. Pepper (Sister Julie Galan, Sisters of Saint Joseph of Concordia, Kansas, Director of I Care Ministries at Cure' of Ars) and Seven-Up (Eighth Grade Religious Education Teacher Holly Nelson). First place was awarded to the Ferns for their pirate display; second place went to the 4th grade Girl Scouts for the skeleton-driving VW Camper Van; third place was awarded to the Robinsons for their rendition of the a witches crossing. Congrats go out to all of the families for participating and bringing food for the food bank, and to the organizers for making the scene a special event for all.
