SANCTUARY OF HOPE
RUN THE GOOD RACE
CURE' OF ARS WELL-REPRESENTED ON AWARDS STAND!
JUNE 18, 2011

On June 18, 2011, priests, seminarians and parishioners of Cure' of Ars traveled to the Sanctuary of Hope in Kansas City, Kansas to run in the annual "Run the Good Race."

Associate Pastor Fr. Greg Hammes was joined by Seminarian Quentin Schmitz, former Cure' of Ars Seminarian and newly ordained Fr. Scott Wallisch, as well as former Cure' Associate Pastor Fr. Peter Jaramillo in competing in Sanctuary of Hope's 5k Challenge Course (a mere 22 hills on a wood-chipped path) and 5k road course an hour later.

Sanctuary of Hope is a place for time away from the noise, stress and pressures of everyday life. Twenty-two guest rooms and 33 acres of wooded trails, meadows and gardens provide accommodations for retreats, meditation, quiet reading and group retreat activities along I-70, between I-635 and 18th Street (Roe). The director of Sanctuary of Hope is Father Dennis Wait, of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, who led all of the participants in a pre-race prayer.
