RELIGIOUS EDUCATION MASS

The Cure' of Ars gymnasium was the site of Mass on Sunday, October 12, 2008 for all of the students in the Religious Education program, and their parents and family members. The altar area was adorned with banners from all of the classes. Each student decorated a paper clock, as the theme of the Mass was "at Cure' of Ars, our time is God's time," and all were urged to take time to pray. Monsignor Charles McGlinn celebrated the Mass. Sandy Hawekotte, Director of Religious Education, and her staff provided the coordination. Sister Julie Galan, Director of the I Care Ministry at Cure' of Ars, helped the students prepare for their reading roles. Parish Music Director Ellen Tuttle and musicians backed up the choir with musical accompaniment. Each role in the liturgy was performed by students, including gift bearers, altar servers, and readers. A wonderful reception in the cafeteria followed, with delicious milk and doughnuts available to all. Many thanks to the staff, parents and students who helped to make this Mass a success. |
