The Cure' of Ars gymnasium was the site of Mass on Sunday, October 13, 2007
for all of the students in the Religious Education program, and their parents
and family members. The altar was adorned with banners from all of the classes. Each
student wrote their name on a die-cut fish, the universal symbol for our Christian faith.
Father Greg Hammes celebrated the Mass. Sister Julie Galan, Director of Religious Education,
and her staff provided the coordination. Parish Music Director Ellen Tuttle and musicians backed up
the choir with musical accompaniment. Each role in the liturgy was performed by students, including gift bearers,
altar servers, and readers. A wonderful reception in the cafeteria followed,
with delicious milk and doughnuts available to all. Many thanks to
the staff, parents and students who helped to make this Mass a success.
